Roboré, known as a “pascana” (a Chiquitano word meaning stage or stop on a journey), has transformed into a popular resting point on the busy route from San José de Chiquitos to Puerto Suárez. Founded on October 25, 1916, by Dr. Ángel Sandoval, this locality, initially a colonization hub and civil and military supply base, is now a vibrant destination that combines history, nature, and adventure. Its patron saint is Cristo Rey (Christ the King).
