Description
Despite the fact that Bolivia is considered to be an Andean country, its territory holds a wide variety of ecosystems. Approximately 50% of Bolivia is part of the Amazon, therefore, it has tropical humid jungle that covers more than half of the country, some of which is located near the Andes. The international scientific community considers this region to have the greatest known biological diversity on the planet. We offer you the possibility of visiting regions of that Amazon (200-6000 m.a.s.l.), such as the Madidi National Park and Natural Area for Integrated Management (PN and AMNI Madidi). Located north of the Department of La Paz and with 1.8 million hectares, the PN and AMNI Madidi is home to more than 1000 species of birds, 44% of the mammals of the New World, and, an estimated 38% of the neotropical amphibians.
