On the Tunari Peak tour, we will be able to see incredible views of the Cochabamba Valley, we will see herds of llamas and hopefully some vicuñas, in addition to glistening mountain lakes, Queñua forests will be part of this adventure.
Tunari Peak is a mountain located in the central section of the eastern mountain range of the Andes in Bolivia. It has a maximum height of 5030 meters above sea level, making it the second highest point in the department of Cochabamba. It is the habitat of a wide variety of fauna, such as the condor, vicuña, llama, alpaca, vizcacha, among others.
As we ascend further up the mountain, the vegetation will transform into rock formations that are sometimes covered in snow. This great mountain retains snow sporadically and due to the temperate climate of the extensive valley at its foot, only for a few weeks can we enjoy significant accumulations of snow.
