CHORO TREK 3D/2N

The Choro Trek route is a very interesting option for ecotourism lovers: this route is full of biodiversity, descending from the Andes to the edge of the jungle, passing through ecotones (transitions from one ecosystem to another). Get to know this trekking route and experience how fascinating Bolivia is.

Description

Being a synthesis of Bolivia, La Paz is an appropriate place to make endless walks through the Cordillera Real, the Yungas, the semi-tropical and tropical areas of this department.

There are hikes that start in the Cordillera around 4800 m.a.s.l. (15748 ft.) and descend to 1500 m.a.s.l. (4921 ft.), special due to the contrast of landscapes and the ecological floors that are observed along the way. Among these, the walks along the Pre-Columbian roads (Choro, Takesi, Yunga Cruz) stand out, where the cobbled trails that were built and used by pre-Inca cultures are still preserved, in order to practice the barter of edible products with settled communities in the different geographical areas of the department.
