Detailed Itinerary – Austria Peak & Chiar Khota Lagoon Hike (1 Day)
07:00 AM – Hotel Pickup
Start of the adventure with pickup from your hotel in La Paz.
Drive to La Rinconada
2-hour journey by private transport to La Rinconada (4500 m), at the base of Mount Condoriri.
Trek Preparation
Time to prepare gear and get ready to hike.
Hike to Chiar Khota Lagoon
A gentle ascent to the lagoon (4650 m), arriving around 11:00 AM.
Break & Lunch
Enjoy a delicious meal and relaxing time by the lagoon.
Ascent to Austria Pass & Peak
2.5-hour uphill trek to Austria Pass (5000 m), then onward to the Austria summit.
Summit Stop
Enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views from the top of Austria Peak.
Return to Chiar Khota Lagoon
Descent back to the lagoon for a short break before heading out.
Drive Back to La Paz
Return journey to the city after the full-day hike.
