Acclimatization

Spend at least 2 full days in Cusco (3,399 m) before any high-altitude trek. Avoid alcohol, stay hydrated.

Essential Gear

Layered clothing, broken-in boots, trekking poles, headlamp, first-aid kit, and high-energy snacks.

Leave No Trace

Pack out all rubbish, stay on marked trails, and never disturb wildlife or sacred stones.

Safety Tips

Always inform accommodation of your trek plan, hire a certified guide, and check weather the night before.

The mountain does not care about your schedule. Acclimatize, prepare, and respect the altitude.
